Westminster Savings Public Art


The committee is comprised of:
  • two Artists
  • an Arts Council staff member (with appropriate expertise)
  • an Architect (with appropriate experience; or landscape architect or municipal planner)
  • a Developer of residential / commercial properties
  • a Council Liaison plus a Council alternate)
  • a Community Member

About the Committee

The Maple Ridge Public Art Steering Committee, established by Council, began meeting in 2010. The purpose of the Committee is to:
  • recommend criteria for the commission of public art installations to Council
  • enter into agreements and contractual obligations within the limitations of approved budgets for the commission of public art installations which meet the criteria noted above
  • spend money within an annual budget approved by Council
  • submit an annual report to Council by the end of May each year describing the activities of the previous year
